The Iowa Association of REALTORS® (IAR) partnered with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) to provide relief for flood stricken areas of Iowa. NAR’s REALTOR Relief Foundation has awarded IAR a grant of $250,000. IAR is contributing an additional $25,000 to bring the total to $275,000. This grant can help individuals affected by the Iowa flood with mortgage payment assistance or rental cost due to displacement for up to $1,000. Shenandoah REALTORS® presented checks to the Shenandoah Education Foundation, the Shenandoah Food Pantry, the Shenandoah Historical Society, the Shenandoah Fire Department and the Shenandoah Ambulance Service. The West Central Iowa Regional Board of REALTORS® recently donated $1000 to the United Charitable Association. This organization was established to offer help to the homeless and to victims of domestic abuse within a 100-mile radius of Creston. Pictured is REALTOR® Shellie Adams and Pastor Delores Dench.
A donation of $700 was made to the Atlantic Fire Department by the West Central Iowa Regional Board of REALTORS® and the REALTOR® Foundation of Iowa. The fire department was chosen as the recipient because it serves the entire community. It will be used for some new equipment and programs. Members of the West Central Iowa Regional Board of REALTORS® (which includes Denison Realty, McCord Real Estate, Neppl Real Estate and A-1 Real Estate) recently donated $700 to the Denison Volunteer Firefighters Assn. This donation is a joint effort between the local council and the REALTOR® Foundation of Iowa. Every year, the Iowa REALTOR® Foundation contributes thousands of dollars to affordable housing programs, scholarships for bright, young Iowans, and promotes other programs across the state that keep Iowa an attractive place to live. This donation is a joint effort between the local council and the REALTOR Foundation of Iowa. Every year the Iowa REALTOR Foundation contributes thousands of dollars to affordable housing programs, scholarships for bright, young Iowans and promotes other programs across the state that keeps Iowa an attractive place to live. Wanting to give back to the communities in which they work and reside, the local board and the REALTOR® Foundation of Iowa felt that area fire departments could use the funds to help with the maintenance & purchase of fire equipment. The REALTOR® Foundation of Iowa offers financial support to Iowans in need and organizations working to improve the quality of life for Iowans.
