There were four 5th grade classes in our region that participated in Project Jack this year. Students from Atlantic chose to give back to residents of Heritage House, a WesleyLife community. "I think this was a great opportunity for the students to experience something so positive while giving back to the nursing home and it's residents. The students had a great time there and would love to go back and visit again." - Principal James Northwick Students from Jamie Meyer's 5th grade class at Carroll Middle School created care packages for patients at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. The grant was one of 136 awarded around the state of Iowa. The students purchased books, games, cards and other items that will make a patient's stay in the hospital more enjoyable.
